Sonic Youth

The nurse poster I created for a 2004 Sonic Youth show appears in over a dozen coffee table art books and magazines, a German poster art calendar, and even spawned a limited edition vinyl toy. 

In 2008 the Southern Folklife Collection acquired the poster for their permanent collection. It made an appearance in The Velvet Underground Experience exhibition in Paris in 2016 and New York City in 2018.

Poster House, the first museum in the US dedicated exclusively to poster art, acquired a print for their permanent collection in New York City in 2019.

The nurse and several other posters I made for the band exhibited at LiFE in St. Nazaire, France; Museion in Bolzano, Italy; Kunsthalle/KIT in Düsseldorf, Germany; the Konsthall in Malmö, Sweden; and CA2M in Madrid, Spain, with the retrospective multimedia exhibition Sonic Youth: Sensational Fix.

In addition to posters, I designed In & Out, Out & In, Sonic Youth’s final official 12” vinyl release before they ended their 30-year run in 2011.
